About AANR Online Meet and Greets
The AANR Online Meet and Greets came from a joint meeting of the AANR Membership Marketing and AANR PR teams. The purpose of these gatherings are to give a way for members to have a place to get to know one another and to have a way to meet. We also wanted a way for members to communicate with AANR leadership and let them know what it is that the members wanted their leaders to know and to do.
At the beginning, we had hoped for at least 20-30 people to be interested. It is much more successful. Event after a year, at a typical meeting, we see between 120 and 140 people. Over 2000 people have asked to be included in our announcement lists.
While originally, it was for only AANR members, non-members had been invited. We then realized it was a wonderful way to let all nudists learn about the good work that AANR does. Still the majority of the attendees are AANR members.
The meetings last 3 hours so that we can be available for people on both coasts of North America. Since this effort is driven by two volunteers, this was a compromise to answer requests that were made to have even more often meetings.
A group of volunteer facilitators has grown and a handbook has been developed. We are continuing to learn how to make these gatherings better.
